Five Song Wednesday
Sadly, since it seems we’re all going to need cheering up for the near future, I decided to go ahead and do another random song thingy. Here we go. And this took on more of an international flavor than I was expecting.
**
Snowball II – Anais & Me
Ah, here’s a cheerful sounding thing to kick things off with. I know nothing about this band, save for their name being a Simpsons reference. They sound fun, though.
Japanese Breakfast – In Heaven
Today it’s going to be the day of bands I don’t know a lot about. This is actually one performer, I think, but don’t quote me on that. I’m not sure either of these songs are genuinely cheerful, but they sound like they could be, and that’s good enough for today.
De Osos – Todo el ruido entre nostros
Wow, I am all over the place today, aren’t I? And here we are in Spanish electronic music. The one good thing about all of this is, when I die, my iPod is just going to be baffling to everyone. This is how you get labeled “eclectic”, I fear.
Crooked Bangs – Rabbit Hole
I have the studio version of this song, but could only find a live video of it. It’s a not especially happy sounding song in either case, though. Well, they couldn’t all be.
Otoboke Beaver – S’il Vous Plait
Okay, sure, why not end this with Japanese riot girls? Singing a song with a French title. Almost all bases covered! All I need to do is upload some banjo music and throat singing, and I will genuinely have a little bit of everything.
